We are located at 885 Ellsworth Road in Blue Hill

OPEN 7AM-5PM --TUESDAY-SATURDAY.
THE TRANSFER STATION IS CLOSED ON SUNDAYS & MONDAYS!!
The Transfer Station is CLOSED on New Years Day, MLK Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Patriots Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

THE FACILITY SERVES THE RESIDENTS OF BLUE HILL, SURRY, BROOKLIN, BROOKSVILLE AND SEDGWICK.
- VALID STICKERS ARE NEEDED TO USE THE TRANSFER STATION. THEY ARE AVAILABLE FREE OF CHARGE AT MEMBER TOWN OFFICES. New stickers as of 10/2018 are required.
- The new color is ORANGE!!
- PLEASE DROP MATERIALS AT THEIR PROPER LOCATIONS. PLEASE MAKE USE OF THE RECYCLE AND REUSE AREAS.
- NOTHING MAY BE REMOVED FROM OUR FACILITY WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION.
YOU MUST SEE AN ATTENDANT AT THE RECYCLING CENTER TO BE WEIGHED IN.
NO ASH OF ANY KIND IS ACCEPTED

TIRES
The Blue Hill/Surry Transfer Station allows residents from participating towns to dispose of 4 tires in the hopper daily.
If you have any questions, please see an attendant.
Demo is taken Tuesday-Saturday 7:30AM-4:30PM
Permits are available from the Town where the work is being performed.
Contractors who are performing the work are required to have a permit. Homeowners must request the permit.
Permit must include contacts name, phone number and address.
Recipients give YELLOW copy to Transfer Station Staff.
PERMITS ARE NOT ISSUED AT THE TRANSFER STATION!!!
RECYCLING:
Single sort will continue to accept ALL recyclable items; sorting will be available for corrugated cardboard, newspaper and tin.
Sorted items can be deposited at the different windows along the front of the main building.
All ferrous metals such as iron, steel, wire fencing, parts of vehicles and oil tanks are accepted ONLY
if prearranged with the Manager. REMOVAL OF COPPER, ALUMINUM OR BRASS IS PROHIBITED!
DISPOSAL FEES:
Refrigerators, A/C units, dehumidifiers, freezers and anything with Freon= $15.
Construction/Demo debris= $160/ton
Upholstered furniture needs to be run across the scale, items under 125 pounds will be a flat $10 fee,
Items over 125 pounds will be the current rate of .08 cents per pound. (couches, mattresses, box springs, etc)
UNIVERSAL WASTE:
TV and monitors= FREE
Console TV's and TV's over 26"= FREE
Commercial Fluorescent lights= $1 per tube
Compact fluorescent light bulbs- FREE
Tires removed from rim= FREE but should be disposed in the demo pile (NO COMMERCIAL TRUCK TIRES)
Boat Hulls and Brush= .08 cents per pound
Waste Oil= Up to 5 gallons per trip= FREE
