Birth & Death Certificates
Birth certificates are filed in the town where the mother resides at the time of birth. To obtain a certified copy of a birth certificate, an authorization to release a vital record form must be filled out and notorized. The first copy is $15, each additional copy issued the same day is $6.
Death certificates are filed in the town where the deceased last resided. To obtain a certified copy of a death certificate, an authorization to release a vital record form must be filled out and notorized. The first copy is $15, each additional copy issued the same day is $6.
Office staff may do geneology research as time permits. We are a small office with limited staff. Persons interested in doing research on their own may do so during business hours at the town office. (Please note: not all records are open for public viewing)
